Shocking statistics show that offenses of violence have soared by 18 per cent in just 12 months. They come as a separate report showed the number of police officers has fallen to its lowest level since 1985. A Toronto-area contractor says it was "pretty creepy" to discover someone had impersonated him online — convincing his customers to e-transfer thousands of dollars, which were stolen. He and others who contacted Go Public are frustrated that Interac and the big banks won’t trace the cash.
